Five years in.
This is what
I actually do.
Not what my invoices said. Not the title I was given. What I was actually doing, the whole time.
I started building websites.
Client paid. Project closed. I moved on. But I kept asking myself the same question every time — what did that actually do for his business?
That question would not leave me alone.
So I started going deeper. Reading the businesses I worked with. Understanding how they got customers. Where leads came in. Where money quietly walked out. Nobody asked me to do any of that. I just could not help it.
Five years later I looked at what I had actually been doing — not what my invoices said, what I had actually been doing — and it was not website design. It was revenue recovery. Lead systems. Growth strategy. Closing real deals for real businesses.
I had been a growth strategist the whole time. I just had not named it.
Why roofing companies
I did not pick roofing because it was easy.
I picked it because the problem is real, the money is significant, and almost nobody is solving it properly.
A roofing owner runs his crew, manages his jobs, handles his customers — and somewhere in all of that, calls go unanswered. Leads go cold. Past customers sit in a contacts list nobody has touched in two years. And nobody tells him how much that is actually costing him.
I studied this industry before I approached a single client. Podcasts from owners who built million dollar roofing companies. Interviews with people who scaled from two trucks to fifty. How they generated leads. What systems they installed. Where they spent their marketing budget and what actually worked.
Not because someone told me to. Because I needed to understand the business before I could genuinely help it.
That is still how I work.
The crew is on the roof. Nobody is watching the phone. It rings. It stops. The lead is gone in sixty seconds.
No text. No follow-up. The homeowner moves on. The company never knows what they lost.
Two years of contacts. Zero outreach. That is revenue sitting completely still, waiting for someone to ask for it.
Before I build anything I run every roofing company through the same five step process.
Survey
I map the entire lead journey. Where calls come from. What happens when one is missed. Whether anything is following up today.
Hunt
I find the exact point where leads are dying. Every company leaks differently. I find your specific leak before we spend anything fixing it.
Ignite
I build the system around how your business actually operates. Not a template. Not a snapshot pulled from another roofer in another state.
Fix
I write every message personally in your voice. The text that fires sixty seconds after a missed call should sound like you wrote it. Because I wrote it that way on purpose.
Track
One number that matters. How many jobs came back that you would have lost.
I am not the smartest person in roofing.
There are people who have built roofing companies worth millions. People with more experience and more years in the field than I have.
But I have spent five years going above and beyond what I was hired to do. Reading businesses nobody asked me to read. Building systems nobody asked me to build. Staying in the work until it actually produced something.
You will find people with better credentials.
You will not find many who treat your business like it is their own.
